All the music for this sound visualization film was created with electronic instruments Helliwell designed, built and played.
The signals from keyboard and wah wah, bass keyboard, drum machine and tone generator, were in turn fed into a specially modified TV monitor, so that the waveform for each component of the music is made visible.
