1981 | Solingen, Germany.
Christoph Eggener was born on April 29th 1981 in Solingen. He first played the drums at the age of 11, and at 15 he got his first drum-set. Since then, he's been playing in bands.
His great interest in music and music techniques motivated him in 2001 to undergo his studies on Media-Techniques at the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf. There arose his interest in movies, film-editing, visuals and music videos. Aside from his many student film and video projects, he started working as a freelance camera operator, editor and producer in 2004. In 2006 during his residency at PHOENIX|digital in Düsseldorf, he got the chance to learn more about visual effects, compositing and film-producing.
In 2008 he began researching for his final examination entitled “Multimedia & Multimodalität”, dealing with audiovisual correlations in multimedia as an outcome of a multimodal integration within human perception. The visual music clip “congruence” is the practical part of this degree dissertation, and features a translation of perceptual interactions into audiovisual design.
Christoph Eggener currently works as an editor for several German TV stations.
