My research and practice begins with walking; over the past 10 years I have collected and documented materials pertaining to walks through Melbourne's slowly disappearing industrial suburbs and factories.
My work comes from a love of these spaces. For this reason I tend to work against any idea of material specificity opting to work with what is readily available or found. In the past this has involved painting, drawing, sculpting and film making.
In 2015 I completed an honours exegesis on themes of ecology and material transformation whereby my research focused primarily on Romantic and Avant-garde art of the 19th and 20th century.
