PUNTO y RAYA FESTIVAL, dubbed 'the most abstract in the world' by the Japanese press, fosters audiovisual experimentation through the use of pure Form, Colour, Motion and Sound, avoiding representation. This renders it Timeless and Universal.
Since its launch in 2007, PUNTO y RAYA seeks to overcome intercultural barriers and bring together people from all over the world under the motto Back to basics. With seven installments under its belt and a promotion platform comprising over 50 cities, it has established itself as the benchmark for Abstract Art in Motion.
The event takes place every two years in a different city, and features the comprises sections:
No representation, only Dots & Lines as ends in themselves! The imagery cannot feature any representational elements, and the soundtrack must lack any articulated voices. Maximum runtime is 8’. All techniques are welcome. Free online submissions.
