    PyRLAB and MAD join forces once again to coproduce a new PyR JUNIOR event, seeking to provide a creative and safe meeting point for educators, artists and families, attentive to all required measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
    PyRLAB (WRO) promotes abstract art in motion in Poland and the Viségrad region.
    MAD (BCN) is a non-profit association devoted to cultural engineering through the development of projects involving Art, Science and Technology.

    PUNTO Y RAYA FESTIVAL   4th Junior Edition (Poland)

    This is a new installment of Punto y Raya JUNIOR produced by our partners PyRLAB in Wroclaw, Poland, where the contents are produced BY children under 13 years of age. Twelve days of creative workshops, exhibitions, interactive installations, and lots of fun devoted to pure Form, Colour, Motion, and Sound!

    The event will run May 28th through June 12th, 2022 with FREE ADMISSION and PARTICIPATION at three venues: CNP Centre in the Suburbs, CeTA Audiovisual Technology Centre, and PAN Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy. Prior registration is required to participate in the workshops.

    Direction and Production

    With a background in Fine Arts, Monika has an MA in Cultural Studies from the University of Wroclaw, Poland.

    She worked in project development, cultural management, and marketing for various multinational companies. Monika is the project coordinator of the educational department at CeTA (Audiovisual Technology Center) in Wroclaw, organising courses and workshops, and implementing training programmes for professionals in new media and the film industry. She occasionally lectures and contributes papers on various art subjects.

    In 2018 Monika Łuszpak-Skiba joined the organisation team of Punto y Raya, coproducing the sixth edition of PyR Festival (CeTA, 2018) and co-producing and directing the subsequent JUNIOR editions at various venues in Wroclaw.

    In 2020 she founded the NGO PyR LAB Poland, devoted to the education, preservation and promotion of abstract fine arts, film, and new media in Poland and the Viségrad region.

    MA in Graphic Arts, during PhD course in Media Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław.

    Kinga mainly works in the realm of new media, installation and performance. She participated in multiple artist residencies in Poland, Germany, Italy and Lithuania. She also took part in projects organised by public institutions, including "Art House" at Adam Mickiewicz Institute, "Digital Residency" at OPENHEIM, and "Odkrywki" at the  Museum of Contemporary Art in Wrocław.

    She frequently conducts art workshops for both children and adults.

    BA in Graphic Design and Photography. Founding member of MAD, a non-profit association in Barcelona that for nearly 20 years is devoted to the development of European projects related Art, Science and Technology.

    In 2007 she co-founded Punto y Raya Festival.

    She also curates themed screening programmes for various Spanish institutions.

    Screenwriter and researcher. She occasionally delves into making experimental videos and animations, and lectures and writes essays as a film critic. A couple of her short films have been awarded internationally.

    Since 2008 she's been a member of the iotaCenter's Advisory Council (Los Angeles, CA) and coordinator of the Spanish speaking community at the Visual Music Village.

    She acts as a juror for various international film & animation festivals, and curates special programmes of avantgarde animation.

    The Centrum na Przedmieście is a place that was created for and with the residents of Przedmieście Oławskie in Wroclaw.

    Its main goal is to create a place open to dialogue, cooperation and development, with a view to strengthening the potential of Wrocław and its inhabitants, especially the residents of Przedmieście Oławskie.

    The Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy was founded in 1952 by the Polish Academy of Sciences. The main founder and the first director of the Institute was Professor Ludwik Hirszfeld, famous Polish immunologist and microbiologist.

    CeTA  Audiovisual Technology Centre

    CeTA (Audiovisual Technology Center), is an innovative cultural facility working in the field of new visual technologies, primarily for use in cinematography. Heir of the exquisite legacy of the Wrocław Feature Film Studio (1954-2011), it houses sound stages, chemical labs, scenography workshops, actors’ dressing-rooms, props and costumes. Around 500 films were made in the Wrocław studio, many of which took a permanent place in the history of Polish cinema.
