This is a small animation I did as an exercise to experiment and explore all the graphical possibilities of representing the idea of the SPHERE, always bearing in mind the Gestalt principles and the pure form.
It's all made in 3d, but I was more interested in the graphics, in flat surfaces, and in working with only two colors; why more? The most difficult part was to achieve the transitions between the different types of representation of the sphere, the morphing and metamorphosing.

It was all done in Cinema 4d R13, with the Mograph module. Compositing and post-production in After Effects

I came to Spain 8 years ago. Finished school, then the University (I chose Fine Arts). Although us guys -Fine Arts students- are always different from those at other faculties, I wanted to be different from my own kind.
I started to play with animation; then moved to motion graphics. It was the perfect move, because I had chosen the Graphic Design specialization. When motion graphics wasn't enough anymore, I started to work with 3D.
Now, my work is a combination of fine arts, graphic design, motion design and 3D animation.
Minimal, concentrated, rational design. Simple, yet complicated. Less, but better.
Lives in Santander, Spain. +info
