He attended a German school in Bogotá, where his interest in music was aroused at an early age. After dropping out his piano studies he travelled to Vienna, where he studied Composition under Herbert Lauermann at the University of Music and Performing Arts, and Electroacoustics at Karlheinz Essl. He took part in master classes and workshops under composers such as John Tilbury, Germán Toro-Pérez, Beat Furrer, Günther Rabl, Georg Friedrich Haas, Christian Jost amongst others. He also studied Art at the Academy of Fine Arts under Heimo Zobernig, working mainly in film, animation and music composition. Since then he has worked as a freelance composer in Vienna.

His music includes a variety of chamber music formats, solo, multimedia, symphonic and vocal works, and film scores. Two pieces are published by Universal Edition. He received several awards and commissions such as: Theodor Körner Prize (2012), Composition Prize  in the junior competition by the German Society for Music Theory (2012), Composition Prize "Towards the next 100 years" by the Wiener Konzerthaus (2012), Ö1 composition prize (2013), composition prize INÖK / Allegro Vivo (2016) and Jeno Takács composition prize (2016).
