This workshop proposes the creation of collective films using live-action imagery but captured in a purely abstract way: we’ll study color, form, tension, movement and sound. We propose the film adaptation of a literary classic (like “Red Riding Hood” or “Little Prince”) using only dots and lines as characters, and unarticulated sounds as the narrating voice.

Firstly, we will shoot a representation of the story using various elements like pencils, paper, books, cases… Eventually, we will start putting away those representational elements to keep only dots and lines (through photographic techniques such as filters, macro-lenses, etc.) and finally, we will remove the words in narrator’s voice focusing on the expressivity conveyed by the intonation, volume, timber and resonance of the voice.
