PUNTO Y RAYA FESTIVAL 2009 · 2nd edition

Our call for entries closed on August 23rd, and we're very proud to inform you that we have received 253 dot·line works (!) from the following countries: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Cuba, Denmark, Ecuador, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, India, Iran, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Mexico, Norway, Peru, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Russia, Singapore, South Chorea, Spain, Taiwan, UK, Uruguay, USA and Venezuela (!!)

We’re amazed by the QUALITY of the films and the high percentage of works created especially for the festival (many of them were finished by mid-August 2009… hmm ;) We THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts; thanks to each and every one of you, Punto y Raya Festival would be impossible without your support and creativity.

Unfortunately we had to select only 76 of the 253 films; it was a difficult process and many works have been left out, not necessarily because they lacked merit. We hope that this will motivate the selected and unselected authors to create more and better PyR films for our next call for entries in 2011.

The films will be organized in six 50-minute-modules that will be screened from November 26th to 29th at Arts Santa Mònica, Barcelona. There is no entry fee. All the info regarding our second edition can be found at www.puntoyrayafestival.com.
