The essence of form and movement represented by dot·lines moving on a plane. This edition comprises dots and open·line forms [or abstract ones] on a plain background. From the pen to the stylus, from the analogic·dot to the digital·pixel, a broad spectrum of short·films of exquisite genius and abstraction that will make us wonder about the essence of space and time.
:: selection criteria : we select only short·films where dots and lines are ends in themselves. : they can experience all kind of movement on the 2d plane [shift, intersection, rotation, symmetrical and scale translations, you name it]. : all kinds of illustration techniques are accepted as long as the dots and lines don't have volume. : we want to abstract away from figuration and perspective. Evidently the dimensions of movement and soundtrack somehow "lift" our dots and lines from the bidimensional limbo, but remember that our task is focused on the synthesis of the visual track . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
